Multiply width × length × depth (in feet) for cubic feet, divide by 27 for cubic yards, and multiply yards by about 1.4 for tons (most crushed gravel weighs 1.3–1.5 tons per cubic yard). For a driveway, 3–4 inches over a compacted base is typical.
